SACRED WELL ON THE NOK HILL

This Ancient Well is located on top of the Nok Hills and is reputed to have been there 1000s of years B. The water is cold and always fresh all year round; it has never dried up and no one can tell how deep the well is. This Well fed the ancient Nok inhabitants for generations. It is said that during the wars, there was no shortage of water to drink or food to eat, as this well had enough to supply and also kept the inhabitants healthy owing to the medicinal values the water is believed to have. The well still provides water to farmers on the hills. •The well is shielded by natural overhead boulders of stones which keep dirt from contaminating the water. •PRAYER •Historical relics such as these are in dire need of preservation, especially access roads and security which are nonexistent.
